Every Child Deserves A Family!
An information campaign has begun in Gagauzia by the name "Every Child Deserves A Family!" NGO "Integration” is partnering with GRT television and radio to actively promote and advance the initiative throughout the region.
Purpose: to turn the public attention toward the problems of child abandonment in Gagauzia and to inform local residents about new forms of child protection – such as the utilization of family types, temporary accommodation centers, foster parents, and positive teachers.

Why family is important for a child?
Commission President Tatiana Vornikova, Chief of Maternal Health and Child Centers of Family Doctors of Ceadir-Lunga: "The importance of family can not be overstated. Family is a child’s birthplace and main habitat. It determines so much in life. Family is one’s first experience – the feeling of truth, security, love, and trust. Children adopt behaviors from their parents and develop their character, intellect, intelligence, and moral principles. In the family, children learn what is good and what is bad. Indeed, boarding schools are not the best place for kids. Because of the large groups, boarding school children do not receive the necessary attention and love. Additionally, children do not understand the experience of family relations due to being moderately cared for only by people who are paid to be there. I therefore welcome innovation in new forms of the protection of our children. "
Why are our people often indifferent toward the foster situation and afraid to take a child into their home?
Father Sergius, Rector of the Kazan Mother of God: "People are afraid to take responsibility for orphans because they do not trust God and merely rely only on themselves. Humans are weak. Faith makes us stronger and helps us to live and raise children. God sends children as a blessing. In the old days, large families were wealthy and had a rich economy. In such families, parents worked alongside their children and educated the youth in their ways. Such parents did not leave children with the elderly who provide no protection or care. Even then, orphans were commonly taken into the home. Now, everyone’s world has changed dramatically. People are afraid of difficulties, because few truly believe. It is all related to the good deeds of a Christian consciousness. If God is first in one’s heart, all will be in place. "
